The battle of night turns a victory for darkness and blackness fills the sky excepting a few spectacles of remaining light that pierce through to renew hope of returning light.
Then the battle for day erupts dawning a glorious return to the goodness of day, and the reigning era of light sustains until darkness conquers again. In the everlasting war for time.
